Ingredients list for Basi Roti Churi
- 4 Leftover Rotis
- 2 medium Onion
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1/2 inch piece Ginger chopped
- 2-3 Green chillies chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- to taste Salt
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- a few Peanuts
Method
- Roughly chop onions and green chillies. Heat oil in a non stick pan, add cumin seeds and sauté till they change colour.
- Finely chop ginger and add to the pan and sauté. Add green chillies and onions and sauté.
- Add peanuts and mix well. Tear the leftover rotis into small pieces.
- Add turmeric powder, salt and sugar and mix well. Sauté for a couple of minutes.
- Add juice of one lemon and mix well. Add leftover roti pieces and toss lightly.
- Cover and cook on low heat till crispy and crunchy. Serve hot.
