Ingredients for Basi Roti Churi Recipe

  • Leftover Rotis 4

  • Onion 2 medium

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Ginger chopped 1/2 inch piece

  • Green chillies chopped 2-3

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Sugar 1/2 teaspoon

  • Peanuts a few

Method

Step 1

Roughly chop onions and green chillies. Heat oil in a non stick pan, add cumin seeds and sauté till they change colour.

Step 2

Finely chop ginger and add to the pan and sauté. Add green chillies and onions and sauté.

Step 3

Add peanuts and mix well. Tear the leftover rotis into small pieces.

Step 4

Add turmeric powder, salt and sugar and mix well. Sauté for a couple of minutes.

Step 5

Add juice of one lemon and mix well. Add leftover roti pieces and toss lightly.

Step 6

Cover and cook on low heat till crispy and crunchy. Serve hot.
