American Sev Puri Canapes filled with a delicious American corn mixture – a great starter. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 Mar 2019 in Recipes Veg New Update Main Ingredients Canape cups, Sev Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for American Sev Puri 8 Canape cups as required Sev 1 tablespoon Oil 1 medium Onion finely chopped 1-2 Fresh red chillies finely chopped ¾ cup Corn kernels boiled 1 tablespoon Fresh mint leaves chopped for garnishing Fresh coriander leaves chopped, 1 tablespoon + to taste Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns 1 tablespoon Sweet chilli sauce ½ teaspoon Chaat masala ½ tablespoon lemon juice Method Preheat oven to 180º C. Line a baking tray with silicon mat. Place canapés on the lined baking tray. Place the baking tray in preheated oven and bake for 2-3 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add fresh red chillies and sauté for 30 seconds. Add corn kernels, mix and cook for a minute. Add mint leaves, coriander leaves, salt and crushed peppercorns, mix and cook for 30 seconds. Add sweet chilli sauce and mix. Add chaat masala, mix and cook for a minute. Add lemon juice and mix. Remove from heat and cool. Place the baked canapés on the worktop, put some onion-corn mixture in each and top with some sev.
