Cooking with curd

Menu: Including curd or yogurt in your diet is the best thing that you can do to stay healthy and fit. Not just improving the digestive system as well as the immune system, it also adds that amazing flavour to any dish that it is being used in. Try some of these dishes with curd and make everyone go crazy about it.

Have hot rotis with Dahi Bhindi or Curd Chicken and cool your stomach with a Dahi Bhaat.

Shopping list

700 grams yogurt
400 grams lady fingers
1 kg chicken on bone
100 grams cashewnuts
0.5 grams saffron
1 small packet fresh cream
1 carrot
1 cucumber

For faster preparation
Roast gram flour and cut the lady fingers. Clean the chicken pieces and make cashewnut paste for the chicken dish. Boil rice. Grate the carrots and cucumber and chop ginger for the rice preparation. Make rice and curd mixture ready for Dahi Bhaat.

How to go about it
Sauté the lady fingers and add roasted gram flour, spices and yogurt mixture and cook it. Sauté the onions till translucent. Add the spices and chicken and cook till chicken is done. Make the tadka ready for the bhaat and pour it over the yogurt rice mixture. Serve.
