By Sanjeev Kapoor 22 Sep 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Raw Peanuts, Coconut Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Dals and Kadhis Prep Time 31-40 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Upavasachi Amti 1 1/2 cup Raw Peanuts dry roasted and powdered 4 Coconut finely chopped 2 tablespoons Lemon juice 1/2 tablespoon Jaggery (gur) grated 1 tablespoon Fresh coconut scraped to taste Salt a few sprigs Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons Ghee 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds 4 Cloves Method Combine peanut powder, green chillies, lemon juice, jaggery, fresh coconut, salt and two to three cups of water. Boil mixture for twenty to twenty five minutes, if necessary add more water. (It must be of dal consistency) When the mixture is ready, keep it aside. Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and cloves. When they crackle add the temper to the amti (mixture). Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and scraped fresh coconut. Serve hot.
