Cook on low heat till all the syrup dries up. Grease a thali. Knead the khoya till smooth. Add sugar and the petha and cook on medium heat, stirring continuously till the mixture forms a mass. Add saffron dissolved in warm milk and green cardamom powder and mix well. Pour the mixture into a greased tray and smoothen the surface. Cut into diamonds when cold.
