Palak Paneer Dosa - SK Khazana Recipe Card

Indian cuisine comprises of a number of regional cuisines.  The diversity in soil type, climate, culture, ethnic group and occupations, these cuisines differ from each other mainly due to the use of locally available spices, herbs, vegetables and fruits. Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Palak Paneer Dosa - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Dosa batter 4 cups

  • Spinach puree as required

  • Cottage cheese (paneer) as required

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil to cook

  • Ghee as required

  • Onions chopped as required

  • Tomatoes chopped as required

  • Green chillies chopped as required

  • Garlic powder as required

  • Turmeric powder as required

  • Red chilli powder as required

  • Tomato chutney to serve

  • Coconut chutney to serve


Step 1

Take dosa batter in a bowl, add salt, mix well and set aside for 3-4 minutes.

Step 2

To make each dosa, spread 2 tsps oil on a non-stick tawa, spread a ladle full of batter to a thin round dosa.

Step 3

Drizzle 2 tsps ghee, 2 tsps onion, 2 tsps tomato, 2 tsps spinach puree, ½ tsp green chilli, ½ tsp garlic powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder and ½ tsp red chilli powder, mash everything with a mashed and spread all over the dosa.

Step 4

Grate cottage cheese on top to cover the entire dosa, drizzle 1 tsp ghee and spread it evenly.

Step 5

Drizzle 1 tsp ghee all around the dosa and let it cook till the underside is golden.

Step 6

Roll the dosa, cut it into smaller pieces and serve with tomato chutney and coconut chutney.
