Ingredients list for Mango Chutney- SK Khazana

  • 1 large Imam mango
  • 1-2 Green chilli
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds (methi dana)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 7-8 Curry leaves
  • a pinch Red chilli flakes
  • for garnish Curry leaves fried

Method

  1. Discard the eye of imam mango, peel and cut into small pieces. Transfer into a blender jar.
  2. Break and add green chillies. Add turmeric Powder and salt and blend to a fine paste.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, split black grams,asafoetida and curry leaves and saute for 1-2 minutes. .
  4. Add chilli flakes and saute for 30 seconds. Take it off the heat and pour over the chutney and mix well. .
  5. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with fried curry leaves and serve.
