Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 1/2 cups yogurt
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon ghee
  • 4-5 cloves garlic sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Roasted cumin powder to garnish
  • Fresh coriander sprig to garnish

Method

  1. Take yogurt in a bowl. Chop onion and add it to the yogurt. Add salt and red chilli powder and mix well.
  2. For the tempering, heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add garlic and cumin seeds, saute till light golden brown.
  3. Add turmeric powder, mix well and saute for ½ minute. Add the tempering to the yogurt mixture and mix well.
  4. Transfer into a serving bowl, sprinkle roasted cumin powder, garnish with coriander sprig and serve.
