By Sanjeev Kapoor 25 Mar 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Ginger, Green chillies Cuisine Karnataka Course Pickles, Jams and Chutneys Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Ghassi 6 one-inch pieces Ginger 4 Green chillies 1 Lemon 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida to taste Salt 4 teaspoons Mustard seeds 1/2 cup Oil Method Grind together scraped coconut, roasted whole red chillies, tamarind, cumin seeds and turmeric powder to a fine paste. Add salt to taste and mix well. Add a little water to make thick paste. Bring to a boil. Heat oil and add mustard seeds. When they crackle, add curry leaves and asafoetida. Add this to the prepared paste and mix well. Serve with patrado/patrel.
