Indian cuisine is always a welcome treat for the Nepalis, perhaps because the taste is not alien to the palate. Those crazy about the food must have already visited The Yellow Chilli, Bluebird Complex, Tipureshwor and those who haven’t perhaps will scurry to the joint soon.

A chain of mostly celebrated restaurant in India and other parts of the world, The Yellow Chilli has been recently opened to provide a variety of Indian cuisine from different parts of India. Though the restaurant was launched a month ago, the inauguration was marked on January 11 in the presence of Ambassador of India Jayant Prasad. The event wouldn’t have been complete without the creator of the restaurant — Indian master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. He specifically flew from India to the Capital for this occasion and assured to “provide quality food and different taste in Kathmandu as it does elsewhere.”

The best part nevertheless is Kapoor’s signature dishes like Shaam Savera, Lalla Mussa Dal,

Gulab e Gulkand, Royal Hara Bhara Kabab, Hare Masale ka Bhuna Paneer to name a few. He shared, “The Yellow Chilli is famous for its distinct taste. The restaurant here will serve the quality food with reasonable price with a different taste. We will also serve some of the best local food items available like Momo, Saag, etc.”

Kapoor who finds Nepal similar to his homeland said, “Our team here will provide you variety of dishes in a homely environment with love and care. We will always listen to the feedback of our customers and manage to do the best.”

Adding on the feedback received by the people Pankaj Jalan, Chairperson of the restaurant mentioned, “The restaurant is getting a good response increasingly day by day and we hope to receive similar responses in days to come.”
