Chinese food is one of the most popular cuisines in the world even more than Italian, Mexican or Thai food. But, we Indians have given our own spin to Chinese food and come up with this fabulous fusion cuisine known as Indo-Chinese food. Whether you are at your favorite restaurant or at any Khao gali for that matter, Indo-Chinese food is everywhere, so we thought of bringing these tried and tested recipes for you to for you to recreate in this home kitchen and make the most of this Sunday.

Tomato Egg Drop Soup – There cannot be a better way to start a meal than with a piping hot bowl of soup. A simple desi Chinese style tomato soup with shreds of eggs simmered in it. It is delicious and satisfying and keeps you in anticipation for the meal ahead.

Dry Vegetable Manchurian

This recipe is like a flavourful Chinese style mixed vegetable pakora tossed in a spicy garlic-soy based sauce. Simple, but super delicious and addictive. You can make Manchurian with any of your favourite vegetables; they also taste great when made with mushrooms or paneer.

Triple Schezwan Rice

This medley of rice tossed with spicy schezwan chutney, chicken gravy and crispy fried noodles is a prodigy of our very own Indo-Chinese fusion style cuisine. Perfect for a Sunday lunch or dinner. Making it is a slightly lengthy process, but a very easy one. Just get your prep in place.

Milkmaid Darsaan

This fusion version of darsaan is quick and simple to make and the perfect way to end this meal. Crunchy fried noodles topped with condensed milk, white and black sesame seeds and honey. You can serve it just like that or with some vanilla ice cream.
