The most zealous and pious time of the year is here! It’s our favourite, Bappa’s birthday and the month of magnificent celebrations! Ganesh Chathurthi in India is celebrated in a vigorously grand manner with a lot of rituals and traditions. This festival takes place for more than a week where people keep Sankashti Vrat in the name of Lord Ganesha. People all over India fast on this auspicious time and it’s believed that people who fast will be provided with health, wealth and prosperity by Lord Ganesha. During this pious fasting, there are only certain foods that people can eat and they keep themselves strictly away from non-vegetarian foods, alcohol, and many other things. Here are a few recipes to make your vrat time a little more delicious, exciting and healthy! 

  1. Vrat ki Kadhi

Kadhi is a famous curry during vrat because it does not involve lentils or beans which are prohibited during vrat in some parts of India. So, this is an ideal meal idea for your fasting and you can also feast your taste buds with its tangy flavour! 

  1. Rajgira and Banana Puri 

Rajgira just as the name suggests it's a royal grain filled with nutritional values. This protein-rich grain is the only grain that has Vitamin C and has an abundance of nutrients like calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium. On the other hand, this world's most popular fruit banana contains potassium, fiber, and other essential nutrients for your body which helps you during your fast.
