It’s National “I love food” day where people eat their most loved dishes and enjoy it with their friends and family. When you take a huge bite of your favourite food your brain tends to release a teeny tiny amount of dopamine, that is the reason why you crave your favourite food so much. Let me give you a small yet very famous menu of Indian cuisine to enjoy this day! 

For starters, what can be the best way to start your meal and your day other than serving the classic Paneer Tikka! Paneer tikka can be termed as the official starter of India. It is so famous that now even people have started selling these cubes of happiness out of street stalls. All the way from the Mughal’s kitchen, these tikkas have our hearts! 

Let’s jump into the main course as I surely can’t wait to gobble them up! 

The first main course we have on the menu is the timeless Dal Tadka! Dal tadka is a soul food that ringers the smell of home when you are away from it. This is the only delicacy with very simple ingredients that can take you on a beautiful ambrosial journey. All said and done, the tadka is the hero of this dal.

Without biryani, the feast is just incomplete.  For all the occasions and celebrations, biryani is a quintessential meal of the menu. Slow-cooked mutton, basmati rice, flavour of yogurt and the splash of spices in every bite is just bliss! The best way to savour a flavour-packed Hyderabadi Dum Gosht Biryani is with a chilled bowl of your favourite raita!

The final recipe of the main course is everyone’s favourite Butter Chicken. India’s favourite curry of all time and how can we make a menu dedicated to Indian cuisine without mentioning this creamy gravy with tender chicken. Butter chicken was invented just before the pre-partition of Indian and Pakistan and has swayed the hearts of many with its tandoor flavoured meat cooked in a velvety gravy! Drooling na? Me too!

It’s snack time and Indians just cannot go without garam garam Masala Chai with some crispy Samosas! Chai-samosa is an inseparable match, served on any and every occasion, be it a get-together, a festival, or just your “me time” Chai-samosa just perfectly goes hand in hand. And on such a special day how can we forget about our favourite snack time foods? 

Save some room for desserts! We cannot end our feast without infusing some sweet things in your palate! If it’s all about regal and famous Indian dishes then you know who made it to the list, right? Obviously, Gulab Jamun! Can you believe it, not only Indians, Gulab Jamun is loved by everyone around the world and people have a separate day dedicated to this luscious dessert. Yes, October 10 is celebrated as World Gulab Jamun day and why wouldn’t people celebrate? Hai hi ekdum special mithai!
