So turn up the romantic songs put on some candles and celebrate Valentine’s Day the food way with these recipes that are perfect on a romantic table for two.

Chilled love
Juicy melon balls, tart creamy feta cheese, aphrodisiac olives and a bunch of fresh herbs drizzled with luscious olive oil and lemon dressing served chilled. This salad is a visual treat; full of flavours and textures - an ideal way to start a romantic meal.

Get fresh
Crisp green beans and sprouts in a flavorful coconut lemon broth with the lingering hint of faint spices. This Balinese style vegetable soup is fresh and light and totally adaptable to little personal touches and ingredients you would like to add to it. Think – shredded chicken, noodles, bread sticks, quinoa, eggs, tofu etc. Basically, fuss free, simple and delish - just like every soup should be.

Love bites
Blanched tender asparagus spears standing on a bed of baked onions and potatoes drizzled with a delicate luscious saffron sauce. This is the type of dish where you can feel the love in each bite and plenty of appreciation too!

Sizzling moments
All you need is chunky fresh prawns, some Thai curry paste and a couple of lemon grass sticks as flavourful skewers in this impressive recipe. Wish everything in life would be as simple and gorgeous! Another dish that is equally simple and has a very similar flavour profile is citrusy sizzling prawns. You will find the sizzles from the plate literally transfer into your love life.

Can’t say no!
When you get pasta sauce made with an ingredient that is loaded with vitamins, healthy fat and plenty of aphrodisiac properties, you do not say no to it. Avocado-tomato sauce, chunks of chicken, jalapenos and al dante cooked pasta tubes married together in perfect harmony only to be wiped clean of a plate in a matter of minutes.

Unlimited love
This one is an in house favourite and we find ourselves always recommending it. A gorgeous bunch assorted seafood cooked together in a rich saffron broth with aromas and flavours of the sea in each whiff and bite of this classic seafood paella. A seafood kesari pulao is like an Indian version of this dish while for the vegetarians here is - fideua is classic Venetian paella made with spaghetti instead of rice.

Pink and pearls
The gravy in this dish is a beautiful pink colour and that is not the only thing that makes this anari vegetable kofta perfect for Valentines. A delightful mix of veggies, rich dried fruits and a surprise ingredient in the form of pomegranate pearls this kofta curry glams up even steamed rice for a special occasions.

Don’t stop!
Dessert sticks - The recipe is exactly what the name suggests – your favourite dessert combinations on a stick. Start with a classic combination of strawberries, marshmallows and a piece of sinful dark chocolate brownie drizzled with chocolate syrup and maybe dressed with a little cream? Try a healthier alternative by skewering fresh fruits drizzled with honey lavender syrup *slurp*.

For your cupcake
Chocolate, peanut butter and cupcakes – a combination of the best things in life – this cupcake recipe is the penultimate dish that you could prepare to butter up someone, pun intended. A shot of rum in the batter takes things to the next level.
