By Sanjeev Kapoor 21 Nov 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Advertisment Main Ingredients Semolina (rawa/suji), Ghee Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Vella Fae 1 cup Semolina (rawa/suji) for cooking Ghee ½ teaspoon + ½ cup Sugar 1 tablespoon Cashewnuts broken 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder a pinch Soda bicarbonate ¾ cup Milk Method Dry roast semolina in a non-stick pan till fragrant. Heat ½ teaspoon ghee in another non-stick pan. Add semolina, mix and sauté on low heat till 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat, transfer into a bowl and cool down to room temperature. Add sugar, cashewnuts, cardamom powder and soda bicarbonate. Add milk gradually and mix well to make a smooth batter. Set aside for 10 minutes. Heat a paniyaram pan. Pour a few drops of ghee in each dent. Pour a spoonful of batter into each dent, cover and cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes on each side or till they become fluffy and golden.
