Toad in a Hole This is a classic dish modified slightly to suit the modern times. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 21 Jul 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Chicken sausages, Eggs Cuisine British Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Toad in a Hole 3-4 Chicken sausages 1 cup Eggs beaten 1 cup Refined flour (maida) 1 cup Milk 1 medium Onion 1 tablespoon HP sauce 1/2 teaspoon Crushed black peppercorns 1/2 cup Mixed herbs 1 tablespoon Oil to taste Salt Method Preheat oven to 180 C. Put equal quantities of flour, eggs and milk in a mixing bowl and mix well to make a batter without any lumps. Dice the sausages and put them into six muffin moulds. Pour the egg custard into the muffin moulds and bake in the preheated oven for ten to fifteen minutes. To make the glaze, slice an onion. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add onion and sauté for two to three minutes. Add crushed black peppercorns and mixed herbs. Add HP sauce and some water and mix and cook for a few minutes or till the mixture reduced slightly. Add salt and switch off heat.
