Ingredients list for Stuffed Mirchi with Tamarind filling ke Pakode

  • 5-6 Big Green chillies
  • 1/4 cup Tamarind pulp
  • For Batter
  • 1/2 cup Gram flour
  • to taste Salt
  • For Filling
  • Oil 3 teaspoon + to deep fry
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 cup Roasted chana dal powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 2-3 teaspoons Jaggery
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Mix gram flour and salt in a bowl. Add sufficient water to make a thick batter.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add tamarind pulp, cook for five minutes.
  3. Add turmeric, chana dal powder, garam masala and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Slit the chillies and remove the seeds. Fill the tamarind mixture and set aside.
  5. Heat sufficient oil in a kaai. Dip the chillies in the besan mixture and deep fry till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  6. Serve hot.
