Ingredients list for Shellfish Peri Peri

  • 8 Clams
  • 8 Mussels (tisre)
  • 1/2 cup White wine
  • 4 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 medium Onions chopped
  • 5 Green chopped
  • 3 medium Tomatoes blanched and chopped
  • 2 stalks Spring onion greens chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped

  1. Cook mussels in white wine for five minutes. Meanwhile sprinkle salt and lemon juice over clams and keep aside for five minutes.
  2. Heat two tablespoons olive oil in a pan, add onions and green chillies and saute for two to three minutes.
  3. Add tomatoes, spring onions (with greens), one cup water and lemon juice and simmer on reduced heat for five minutes.
  4. Heat the remaining oil in another pan and saute the shellfish on high heat for few minutes only.
  5. Add boiled mussels and continue to saute for a few more minutes.
  6. Add the prepared sauce, adjust salt and saute for one minute. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves with boiled rice.
