By Sanjeev Kapoor 17 Aug 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Jumbo prawns, Salt Cuisine Indonesian Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Sambal Udang 400 grams Jumbo prawns peeled, deveined and tail intact to taste Salt 2 tablespoons Oil 2 small Potatoes peeled, cut into wedges and boiled 2 cups Coconut milk 1 tablespoon Tamarind pulp Spice paste 6-8 Shallots 5-7 Garlic cloves 4 Fresh red chillies 1/2 teaspoon Shrimp paste Method Boil three cups water in a deep non-pan, add salt and prawns. Cook for three to four minutes. Drain and set aside. Grind together shallots, garlic, red chillies and shrimp paste to a smooth paste. Heat oil in another non-stick pan, add the ground paste and sauté for a minute. Add potatoes and prawns and mix well. Add coconut milk and bring to a boil. Add salt and tamarind pulp and mix well. Simmer for two minutes. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
