Sabzi Palav Parboiled rice mixed with dill and coriander leavs and layered with fried onions and saffron and cooked on dum By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Jul 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients coriander leaves,, Dill leaves (suva) Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Rice Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 41-50 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Medium Others Veg Ingredients list for Sabzi Palav 1 cup coriander leaves, chopped 1 cup Dill leaves (suva) 250 grams Long-grain rice, parbioled and peeled to taste Salt 2 large Onion , sliced finely 8-10 strands Saffron (kesar), crushed 2 tablespoons Pure ghee Method Mix coriander leaves, dill leaves, rice and salt. Put a layer of rice in a thick bottomed non stick pan. Sprinkle half of the fried onions, half of the saffron and put half of the ghee on top. Repeat this procedure until all the ingredients are used up. Sprinkle some water on top. Cover with a lid wrapped in clean cloth and cook on low flame for thirty minutes.
