By Sanjeev Kapoor 05 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Basmati rice, Tomatoes Cuisine Indian Course Rice Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Sabzi Aur Tamatar Ka Pulao 1 1/2 cups Basmati rice 3-4 Tomatoes chopped 1/2 cup Green peas shelled 1/4 medium Cauliflower cut into florets 10-12 French beans cut into 1/2 inch pieces 2 small Carrots cubed 3 tablespoons Olive oil 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 3-4 Green cardamoms 3-4 Black cardamoms 1 inch sti Cinnamon 4-6 Cloves 2 medium Onions sliced to taste Salt Method Heat olive oil in a thick-bottomed pan. Add cumin seeds, green cardamoms, black cardamoms, cinnamon and cloves. Once they start to splutter, add onions and fry till translucent. Add tomatoes and cook till oil separates. Add salt and three cups of water and bring to a boil. Add carrots and cook for five minutes. Add drained rice to the pan. Once the mixture comes to a boil add green peas, cauliflower florets, French beans and salt. Reduce heat and cover the pan. Cook till rice is completely done. Uncover the pan when the rice is cooked and stir lightly with a spatula so as to ensure that no lumps are formed. Serve hot.
