Ingredients list for Sabudane ki Kheer

  • 1 cup Sago (sabudana) soaked for 4-5 hours
  • 3 cups Milk
  • ½ cup Mawa (khoya) grated
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 tablespoon Almonds chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Cashewnuts chopped
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Raisins
  • ½ teaspoon Green cardamom powder

Method

  1. Heat 4 cups water in a deep non-stick pan. Add sago, mix and cook till done.
  2. Add milk and mawa, mix well and cook on low heat for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Heat ghee in a small non-stick pan. Add almonds and cashewnuts and sauté on medium heat till golden.
  4. Add sugar to the sago mixture, mix well and continue to cook.
  5. d raisins to the nuts, mix and sauté for a minute. Add the sautéed nuts to the sago mixture and mix well.
  6. Add cardamom powder, mix well and cook on medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
  7. Serve warm.
