Ingredients for Red Pumpkin Ka Halwa Lal Kaddu Ka Halwa Recipe

  • Red pumpkin (bhopla/kaddu) peeled and grated 1 kilogram

  • Khoya/mawa grated 1/2 cup

  • Ghee 4 1/2 tablespoons

  • Sugar 3 tablespoons

  • Almonds finely chopped 10

  • Cashewnuts finely chopped 5

  • Green cardamom powder a pinch

Method

Step 1

Heat 4 tbsps ghee in a non-stick pan. Add red pumpkin to it and sauté.

Step 2

Add khoya and sugar and mix well cook till pumpkin gets cooked and the mixture reaches halwa consistency. Reduce heat, add green cardamom powder and mix well.

Step 3

Heat remaining ghee in another non-stick pan, add almonds and cashewnuts and sauté on low heat.

Step 4

Transfer halwa into a serving bowl, garnish with sautéed nuts and serve.
