Ingredients for Raw Banana Purichit Recipe

  • Raw Banana 3-4

  • Rice Flour 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon

  • Coriander powder 1 tablespoon

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Rice flour 1/2 cup

  • Curry leaves chopped 12-16

  • Oil 4 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Peel bananas and soak them in water. Mix 1 tsp turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste, salt, rice flour and half the curry leaves with 1 tbsp oil in a plate.

Step 2

Slice raw bananas lengthwise into thick pieces. Mix them with ½ tsp turmeric powder and 2 cups water and cook in microwave for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Remove from the microwave, drain and set aside to cool. Apply the paste on banana slices evenly on both the sides.

Step 4

Heat oil in a non stick pan, slide in the marinated banana slices and shallow fry.

Step 5

Turn over and fry for some more minutes or till crisp. Add remaining curry leaves and fry for 1 minute. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
