Pumpkin Leaves Vada By Sanjeev Kapoor 05 Dec 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Pumpkin Leaves, Urad dal Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 6 Taste Select Taste Level of Cooking Medium Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Pumpkin Leaves Vada 8-10 Pumpkin Leaves 1 cup Urad dal 3/4 cup Rice 1 tablespoon Chilli powder to taste Salt a pinch Hing 2 teaspoons Rice flour Oil for frying Method Wash and dry the Pumpkin leaves Dry roast Urad dal and rice separately till golden brown once cooled grind to a fine powder To the powder add chilli powder, salt and Hing Add water little by little and make a paste (This paste needs to be applied on leaves, do not make running) Take each pumpkin leaves spread upside down, thru a ladle press on top of it so that leaf becomes flat. Apply a thin coat of Paste and place one more leaf on top it and apply the paste. Repeat the steps for all 8 leaves. Now roll the leaves tightly like a chapati roll.
