By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Mar 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Rice , Spinach Cuisine Fusion Course Rice Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Popeye Pulao 1 cup Rice soaked and drained 250 grams Spinach 1½ teaspoons Oil 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1 medium Onion sliced 6 cloves Garlic crushed 1 Green chilli sliced to taste Salt Method Blanch the spinach leaves in hot water for 2 minutes. Drain and puree. Set aside. Heat the oil in a non-stick deep pan, add the cumin seeds and when they begin to change colour, add the onion and garlic and sauté till translucent. Add the spinach puree and sauté for about five minutes. Add the rice, green chilli, salt and two cups of water. Bring to a boil, lower the heat and simmer till the rice is done. Serve hot.
