Soak yeast in quarter cup of lukewarm water and set aside till it begins to froth. Make a well in the flour mixture and pour the yeast mixture into it.Mix in the flour. Add two and three fourth cups of water and knead into a soft dough.Cover with a damp cloth and set aside for the dough to rise. Divide the dough into ten to twelve equal portions.Take each portion on a lightly floured board and pat with your fingers to a round disc. It should not be too thin.Brush the top with some thin buttermilk. Using only your finger tips press lightly to make groves all around.Place the pidde on a long wooden spatula and put it in the tandoor to bake. Serve hot.
