Ingredients list for Paneer Ke Nuggets

  • 200 grams Paneer (cottage cheese) grated
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chaat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 4 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
  • to taste Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 cup Bread crumbs
  • for deep-frying Oil

Method

  1. Put grated cottage cheese, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, chaat masala, red chilli powder, lemon juice, sugar and coriander leaves into a bowl and mix well.
  2. Mix refined flour, salt and black pepper powder in another bowl, add sufficient water and mix well to make a smooth thick batter.
  3. Spread the breadcrumbs on a plate, add salt and black pepper powder and mix well.
  4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  5. Divide the cottage cheese mixture into small equal portions and shape them into nuggets.
  6. Dip them in the batter, roll in spiced breadcrumbs and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
  7. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot.
