By Sanjeev Kapoor 12 Jul 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Sesame seeds (til), Coconut Cuisine Indian, , , , Course Pickles, Jams and Chutneys Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Panchamrut 1/4 cup Sesame seeds (til) 1/4 cup Coconut scraped 1/4 cup Peanuts 1/4 cup Tamarind 2 Green chillies 2 tablespoons Oil 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida 1/2 cup Jaggery (gur) grated 2 tablespoons Goda masala to taste Salt Method Roast sesame seeds and peanuts. Grind to a coarse powder. Soak tamarind in a little warm water and remove pulp. Remove stems, wash and chop green chillies finely. Heat oil/ghee in a pan, add asafoetida and cook for a moment. Add jaggery, tamarind pulp, peanut and sesame powder, coconut, green chillies, goda masala and a pinch of salt. Mix it well. Add half a cup of water, bring it to a boil for two to three minutes. Serve when cool.
