Ingredients list for Onion Chutney

  • 2 Big Onion chopped
  • Tamarind
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 10 Curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Black gram split (urad dal dhuli)
  • 2 Dried red chillies
  • 2 Green chilli
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Oil

Method

  1. Heat oil in non stick pan, add the mustard seeds, curry leaves, uradd dal, red chillies and green chillies.
  2. Saute till golden. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool.
  3. In a blender add the onions and blend with the above mixture to a smooth paste.
  4. Remove in a bowl add salt and tamarind water. Mix well and serve.
