Ingredients list for Nutri Sandwich

  • 8 Brown Bread Slices
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetables
  • 1 inch piece Ginger chopped
  • 8 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 5 Green chillies chopped
  • 3 medium Onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fenugreek powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 Potatoes boiled and mashed
  • 2 medium Carrot grated
  • 8-10 French beans chopped
  • 1/2 cup Green peas blanched
  • 1/4 cup American corn kernels blanched
  • 1 cup Soya granules soaked
  • 2 tablespoons Paneer (cottage cheese)
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves chopped
  • as required Butter

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non stick pan add onions and saute till light brown.
  2. Add garlic, ginger, green chillies and saute for a minute. Remove from flame and grind to a fine paste.Heat oil in the same pan add onion paste and saute for a minute.
  3. Add fenugreek powder, turmeric powder and saute for a minute. Add potatoes, carrots, french beans, green peas, American corn kernels and let it cook till the vegetables are tender.
  4. Add soya granuals, paneer, salt and saute for a minute.Apply butter to the bread slices and place the four bread slices on the plate. Put equal quantity mixture on the bread slices and cover them with remaining slices.
  5. Apply some butter on top of the slices and toast the sandwiches in the toaster till golden brown in colour. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
