By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Mar 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Mutton, Crushed black peppercorns Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Mutton Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 1-1.30 hour Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Mutton Kalimiri 600 grams Mutton cut into 1½ inch pieces on the bone 1 tablespo + for sprinkling Crushed black peppercorns 1 tablespoon 3 tablespoons Ghee 1 inch Cinnamon 2 Bay leaves 5-6 Green cardamoms 4 Black cardamoms 4 Green chillies slit 4 medium onions sliced 2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste to taste Salt 3 tablespoons Cashewnut paste 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder ¼ cup Fresh cream Method Heat 2 tablespoons ghee in a non-stick pan, add cinnamon, bay leaves, green cardamoms, black cardamoms, green chillies and sauté. Add onions and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add mutton and sauté for 2 minutes. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix well and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add salt and mix well. Add 2 cups water, cover and pressure cook on high heat for 5 minutes. Reduce heat and cook for 25 minutes. Heat remaining ghee in a non-stick pan. Add crushed peppercorns and cashew nut paste, mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes. Reduce heat and add cooked mutton with stock and spices. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes. Add garam masala powder, mix well and cook further. Add cream, stir to mix and let it get heated through. Sprinkle crushed peppercorns and serve hot.
