Ingredients list for Moong Daal Koshimbir

  • 3/4 cup Split Skinless Green Gram soaked
  • 2 medium Scraped Coconut
  • 1 teaspoon Green chillies finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Scraped coconut
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped

Method

  1. Peel and grate the cucumbers and put in a bowl.
  2. Drain and add moong dal along with green chillies, coconut, salt and lemon juice and mix.
  3. Heat ghee in a small non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  4. Add the tempering to the cucumber mixture and mix well.
  5. Serve garnished with coriander leaves.
