Ingredients list for Mint Masala Chai

  • 4 teaspoons Tea Leaves
  • 2 teaspoons Green Tea
  • 7-8 Fresh mint leaves
  • 4 Tulsi leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dry ginger powder (soonth)
  • to taste Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk (optional)
  • For masala
  • 1 inch sticks Cinnamon
  • 3 Green cardamoms
  • 4 Peppercorns
  • 1/4 teaspoon Fennel seeds (saunf)
  • 5 Cloves

  1. Place the masala ingredients in a vessel and pour four and a half cups of water. bring to a boil. Add the tea leaves and let it boil for three to four minutes.
  2. Add mint leaves, tulsi leaves and ginger powder. Bring to a boil again. Add sugar to taste and serve accompanied with hot milk.
