By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Apr 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Whole Wheat Flour, Refined Flour Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Masalapara 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour 1/2 cup Refined Flour 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder 2 tablespoons Ghee to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Carom seeds (ajwain) 2 teaspoons Chaat masala 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder 2 cloves Garlic finely chopped Method Advertisment Mix the two flours and baking powder. Add ghee and rub in with fingertips to get a mixture resembling breadcrumbs. Add salt, carom seeds, chaat masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and garlic . Add sufficient cold water and knead into a stiff dough. Cover the dough and let it rest for some time Preheat oven to 200°C. Grease a baking tray with a little oil and sprinkle refined flour on it. Sprinkle some refined flour on a flat surface and roll out the dough into a half-centimeter thick disc. Cut the rolled out dough into diamond shaped pieces . Place them on the baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for fifteen to twenty minutes. Serve hot or cool completely and store in an airtight container.
