Ingredients list for Masala Puri

  • 2 cups Wholewheat Flour
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • a few Fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to deep fry Oil

Method

  1. Peel, wash and grind garlic. Clean, wash and finely chop coriander leaves. Mix wheat flour, cumin seeds, garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander leaves, one tablespoon of oil and knead into a semi soft dough using sufficient quantity of water.
  2. Cover with a muslin cloth and let it stand for ten to fifteen minutes. Divide the dough into twenty equal sized balls and roll each ball into round puris.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep-fry the puris till crisp and golden. Drain onto an absorbent paper and serve hot with a chutney of your choice.
