Corn was indigenous to America, but is now grown throughout the world. It is used as a vegetable, briefly boiled or roasted or eaten with butter. And it would also interest you to know that the favourite popcorn, made by popping the small corn kernels, is a wholesome cereal food and is easily digested. Besides this, corn sees its use in various other ways – salads, soups, subzis and even sweets too!

Ingredients for Ludo Corn Recipe

  • American sweet corn on the cob halved 2

  • Sweet corn kernels

  • Sweet corn kernels 1/4 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli powder 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Carom seeds (ajwain) 1/2 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 4 teaspoons

  • Butter 6-7 teaspoons

  • Onion roughly chopped 1 medium

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180 °C.

Step 2

Mix salt, red chilli powder, carom seeds, corn pieces and lemon juice in a bowl. Add four teaspoons butter and mix well.

Step 3

Place each corn piece in individual aluminum foil and wrap it up. To the leftover spice mix in the bowl add onion, corn kernels and the remaining butter and mix well. Wrap it up tightly in a square piece of aluminum foil.

Step 4

Place these packets in the preheated oven and bake at 180°C for twenty minutes.

Step 5

Remove from oven and serve hot.
