Ingredients list for Luchi

  • 2 cups Refined flour
  • 1 teaspoon Ghee
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • for deep-frying Oil

Method

  1. Sieve the flour with salt. Add ghee and make soft dough with sufficient water.
  2. Keep covered with a moist cloth for half an hour. Divide into twenty equal parts and make balls. Roll out each ball into three-inch diameter discs.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and fry the luchis till well puffed and cream coloured. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with cholar dal or any curry of your choice.
