By Sanjeev Kapoor 13 Aug 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Coconut Milk, Jaggery Cuisine Sri Lankan Course Desserts Prep Time 31-40 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Kiri Aluwa 1 cup Coconut Milk 1/4 cup Jaggery grated 250 grams Sugar 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla essence 50 grams Cashewnuts roughly chopped for greasing Ghee Method Boil coconut milk, jaggery and sugar in a non-stick pan stirring continuously till the mixture is golden brown. Remove the pan from heat. Add vanilla essence and cashewnuts and mix well. Grease an aluminum tray with ghee. Pour the mixture into the tray and spread it evenly. Cut into square pieces and set aside to cool. Arrange them on a serving platter and serve.
