By Sanjeev Kapoor 20 Feb 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients khoya, Pistachios Cuisine Bengali Course Mithais Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Kesar Pista Roll 250 grams khoya 125 grams Pistachios 125 grams Cashewnut powder 1 1/3 cups Powdered sugar 1 tablespoon Milk powder a few strands Saffron (kesar) 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder 2 sheet Silver warq Method Advertisment Blanch pistachios in two cups of hot water for five minutes. Drain, peel and chop finely. Cook mawa in a heavy bottomed pan for about ten minutes, let it cool. Add cashewnut powder, sugar and milk powder and knead to a smooth mixture. Divide the mixture into two equal parts. To one part add saffron. To the other, add chopped pistachios and cardamom powder. Take a small portion of the pista mixture and cover it with a little of the saffron mixture and roll to form a cylinder. Shape all the rolls in the same manner. Keep the rolls aside to dry.
