  1. Wash gourd, scrape, de-seed, apply salt and keep aside After a few minutes, squeeze out the excess water. Cut into small pieces. Heat oil, deep fry the gourd pieces till crisp. Grind together coconut, chillies, salt, tamarind and fried gourd into a semi-liquid chutney.
