  • Baby potatoes boiled and peeled
    40-50
  • Coriander seeds
    2 tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds
    1 tablespoon
  • Black peppercorns
    1 tablespoon
  • Fennel seeds (saunf)
    1 teaspoon
  • Dry red chilies broken
    4
  • Oil
    2 tablespoons
  • Asafoetida
    1/4 teaspoon
  • Onion seeds (kalonji)
    1/2 teaspoon
  • Ginger finely chopped
    1 teaspoon
  • Garlic finely chopped
    1 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder
    1/2 teaspoon
  • Amchur powder
    1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt
    to taste

Method

Step 1


Heat a kadai and dry roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, black peppercorns, fennel seeds and red chillies. Transfer this mixture into a mixer jar and coarsely grind it.

Step 2


Heat oil in a non stick pan and add asafoetida, kalonji, ginger and garlic and sauté.Add the potatoes and sauté.

Step 3


Add red chilli powder, dried mango powder and salt and mix well.Add the ground masala mixture and mix well. Transfer in a serving plate and serve hot.
