By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Mar 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Raw Banana, Refined Flour Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Jain Samosa 4-5 Raw Banana boiled, peeled and mashed 1 1/2 cups Refined Flour kneaded into dough with carom seeds 1/2 cup Boiled green peas 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons Garam masala powder 2 Green chillies chopped to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Sugar 2 teaspoons Lemon juice 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped for deep-frying Oil Method Combine raw bananas, green peas, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, green chillies, salt, sugar, lemon juice and coriander leaves in a bowl and mix well. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Divide the dough into eight equal portions and shape them into balls. Roll out balls into oval shaped thin puris. Halve the puris. Fold each half into a cone. Fill the cone with the raw bananas mixture and seal the edges with water to make samosa. Deep-fry the samosas in hot oil till golden. Drain on absorbent paper. Arrange on a serving plate and serve hot.
