Ingredients list for Insalata Caprese

  • 4 large Tomato sliced
  • 250 grams Mozzarella cheese sliced
  • 15-20 Basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Dried oregano
  • 8-10 Peppercorns crushed
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil

Method

  1. Arrange the tomato slices and the mozzarella slices alternately on a serving dish, so that they overlap slightly. Arrange the basil leaves on top and sprinkle with dried oregano. Sprinkle salt and freshly crushed peppercorns over the salad and drizzle generously with olive oil. Serve cold with crusty bread.
