Gunpowder Squid Rings Fried squid rings flavoured with gunpowder. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 11 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Gun powder, Squids Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 21-25 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Gunpowder Squid Rings 2 tablespoons Gun powder 6-8 medium Squids cut into rings ½ tablespoon Garlic paste 1 tablespoon Curry leaves chopped 1 tablespoon Lemon juice to taste Salt for deep-frying Oil 1 tablespoon Cornflour/ corn starch Method Take the squid rings in a bowl. Add the garlic paste, curry leaves, lemon juice and salt, mix well and set aside to marinate for fifteen to twenty minutes. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Coat each marinated squid ring with cornstarch and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Sprinkle gunpowder on top of fried squid rings while still hot.
