By Sanjeev Kapoor 25 Nov 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Split Pigeon Pea, Green Chilli Cuisine Indian Course Dals and Kadhis Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Green Chilly Dal 1 cup Split Pigeon Pea 8-10 Green Chilli 3-4 cloves Garlic 2 tablespoons Oil 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds 1 medium Onion 1 medium Tomato to taste Salt Method Pressure cook the split pigeon pea in 2 cups water till tender.Grind together green chillies and garlic to a fine paste. Heat oil in a non stick pan add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and saute. When it starts splutterin add onions and saute till light brown. Add tomatoes,green chilli-garlic paste, salt and saute for a minute. Add the dal and half cup water and let it simmer for five to ten minutes.
