By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 Dec 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Gongura leaves, Oil Cuisine Gujarati Course Pickles, Jams and Chutneys Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Gongura Pachadi 1 bunch Gongura leaves stemmed 2 tablespoons Oil 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds 4-5 Whole dry red chilli stemmed a pinch Asafoetida 1 tablespoon Split Bengal gram (chana dal) soaked to taste Salt Method Heat one tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds, dry red chillies, hing and chana dal and saute for a minute. Remove and allow to cool.Heat remaining oil in a non-stick pan. Add the leaves and saute till it dries up. Add salt and cook for a minute. Remove and allow to cool.Transfer it to a blender and blend with the above mixture to a fine powder.
