Ginger Garlic Crispy Chicken

Boneless chicken breasts marinated with ginger-garlic paste and other masalas, rolled in bread crumbs and deep fried till crisp. - here is another amazing Chinese recipe, garlic ginger chicken. Just like the name says, this dish gets a lot of its flavor from fresh garlic and ginger. The chicken bits are coated with a batter and then fried until crispy. Ingredients list for Ginger Garlic Crispy Chicken

  • 3 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 Boneless chicken breasts
  • 1½ tablespoons Red chilli paste
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
  • 3 teaspoons Cornflour/ corn starch
  • for deep-frying Oil
  • 4 White bread slices

Method

  1. To make the marinade, combine red chilli paste, ginger-garlic paste, salt, pepper powder, soy sauce and cornstarch in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Slit chicken horizontally into halves and further cut into two. Add these to the marinade and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  4. Discard edges from bread slices and cut into small cubes. Place in a grinder jar and grind to make breadcrumbs. Transfer the fresh breadcrumbs onto a plate.
  5. Coat marinated chicken pieces in the breadcrumbs and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  6. Serve hot with sweet chilli sauce.
