Ingredients list for Fruit Sasam

  • 3/4 cup Bananas cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup Pineapple cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup Orange segments skinned and halved
  • 1/4 cup Seedless grapes
  • 3/4 cup Scraped coconut
  • 2 Bedgi whole dry chillies seeded and roasted
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Tamarind pulp
  • 2 tablespoons Jaggery (gur) grated
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Grind together the coconut, red chillies, mustard seeds, tamarind pulp with one-fourth cup of water into a coarse paste.
  2. Add jaggery and grind once again. Mix the fruits with salt and the ground masala. Serve cold.
