Ingredients list for Drumstick Fry

  • 2 Drumstick
  • 50 grams Split Bengal gram (chana dal)
  • 1/2 cup Rice raw
  • 2 Green chilli
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dry mango powder (amchur)
  • to taste Salt
  • 4 tablespoons Oil
  • for garnish coriander leaves

Method

  1. Soak the Channa dal and rice for 10 minutes. Cut the drum sticks into 2" length and boil till tender.
  2. Strain the water and keep the boiled drum sticks aside. Grind the chana dal, rice, green chilli, cumin powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder and salt together and make a thick paste.
  3. Mix the paste over the drum sticks and mix well. See that the paste is properly spread over each drum stick piece. Heat oil in a no stick pan. Shallow fry the drumsticks for a few minutes. When becomes light brown remove the drum sticks from the pan and put in a serving plate, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
